Choose Between Two Options

Designed for ages 6–18, these one-on-one lessons are available for guitar, bass, strings, winds, piano, drum, or voice.

Each ensemble class culminates in a final performance, putting students through six group lessons, one dress rehearsal, and one concert. Students can pick from a wide range of ensembles, from woodwind to jazz to beginning youth orchestra. For early-childhood music classes, kids aged 4–6 can attend a Muffins string class, where they learn violin technique through a story-based method book written by the instructor. For older children, 8–12, Guitar Starters teaches foundational skills. Check the calendar for a full list of classes.

Creative Arts for Kids’ Enrichment

Aimed at the broadening of juvenile horizons, the music classes and ensemble programs at Creative Arts for Kids’ Enrichment (or CAKE) are designed largely for students aged 4–18. No matter their configuration—orchestral, winds, or jazz—youth ensembles show off kids’ developing skills at frequent concerts and off-the-grid musical-chairs parties. Teachers often host sessions for adults as well, providing grown ups occasion to raise their skills during all-level grown-up orchestras, belly-dancing classes, and the occasional round of yoga.
