Rentals equip patrons with essential boating equipment, life jackets, and Necky kayaks for a two-hour jaunt around False Creek. During three-hour introductory kayaking classes, groups of students learn and practice basic paddling techniques and safety precautions in protected waters. All necessary equipment is provided. Classes run Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m., and Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

Certified instructors walk uninitiated visitors through kayaking basics during three-hour introductory courses that cover fundamental paddling skills, rescue techniques, water safety, and how easily kayaks transform into giants' kazoos.
