Q&A with Robin, Assistant Visitor Experience Coordinator

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Meeting new people and helping them understand more about the history of Cupids and Newfoundland.

Have you ever been a patron of your own business? If so, what was the most enjoyable part?
The interactive exhibits in the museum.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We offer guided tours of professionally designed interactive exhibits in our museum. Visitors then take a tour of the on-site archeology lab that has cataloged over 164,000 artifacts from the first permanent English settlement in Canada. Finally, visit our observation deck, which provides a scenic panorama of Cupids Harbour and is home to our Faerie Garden, featuring sculptures by Newfoundland artist Morgan MacDonald. Visitors should ask for a faerie story or demonstration of traditional Newfoundland games.

There is much to enjoy in Cupids in addition to a visit to the Legacy Centre. For instance visitors could walk one of our trails or savour some traditional Newfoundland food at Cupid's Haven or Skipper Ben's and a separate tour of the Cupids Cove Provincial Historic Site is also highly recommended.
