I want to buy this BUT…when I look at the price list it’s tougher to navigate the options. I’d rather that this offer said half off normal prices. Yes, I know this is an amazing discount but I feel that since there are no services which can be combined to total exactly $100 of credit, than I’d have to pay more to get two spa services and it stops feeling like such a deal. In these economic times, trying to attract a new customer…especially one such as myself who already has a relationship with a salon/spa…than it has to be a ‘half off all services’ deal to get me to go to an unknown neighborhood, meet new people and trust them with my skin.

Dear Concerned Facebook User,

D’ames Day Spa understands where you are coming from. With any extra Groupon credit after your first service, you can apply that to another service AND get 20% off that second service. I know discounts on top of discounts can be confusing, but I think everyone will enjoy crunching these kinds of numbers.

Regards,
Ryan

I was thinking about getting this one, until I read the description which included terms like get anything “whitened” and made “prettier.” I’ a proud woman of color — why would I want anything “whitened” to make it “prettier”? Can I assume that I’m not your target audience?

Dear Facebook user,

We wouldn’t suggest changing anyone’s skin color but we are happy to offer teeth whitening for everyone.

I did buy this groupon, but was a bit upset. My mom and I each bought one and made appts online for massages ($95). When we left, I asked if there was anything else I needed to do as far as payment and Christine, the owner, told me no. When I got home, I had an email showing that I pd $100 for a massage that was listed for $95. When I emailed Christine about it and asked her about using the balance at another time with the 20% discount, she said that the appointment would have had to be made at the time of my first appointment. It never said that on the Groupon site and I was never told that at the time of my appt. I know it’s only $10 ($5 for each of us), but still, we could have gone back to get a manicure or something and gotten $5 off.

So, I informed Christine that we would no longer be using Dames Spa. I feel like I was tricked.

Shady…. I’m looking at D’ames website and it shows a 75 min facial for $115 but when I went to book an on-line appt all of a sudden the price was $125.
