I couldn’t find their hours on their website. It says you can’t use the coupon during lunch or happy hour so what times can you use it? 2-4pm? or after 7pm?

Katie L.

Hi Joanna,

You can use the Groupon anytime that Dancing Ganesha is open, however, during lunch you have to order from the menu and during happy hour your drinks will be regularly priced.

Can this be used for takeout?

Mila G.

I second the question about takeout

What does it mean in the description where is says, “you only get the deal if enough people join?” If you purchase today’s deal you still get it….right?

Patrice O.

What are the hours? They are not listed on website.

Libby

I didn’t realize there was such a long processing time on these things. I’m supposed to meet some friends for dinner in like four hours and the thing isn’t ready yet.

Karlyn W.

I know! I found this to be a bit frustrating as well. I didn’t know if my purchase went through and ordered again only to discover I’ve now ordered twice. Oh well, live and learn.

Tracie A.

i’ve found you CANNOT expect to use your Groupon the same day it was purchased…

Libby

I wish there was some sort of disclaimer saying that…since it’s advertised as “today’s deal.” I guess it should say “tomorrow’s deal that you have to buy today.”

Ashley M.

Hello Minneapolis,

Just to clarify some of your questions, this Groupon is valid for take out however only one per order (similar to one per table).

You can not use your Groupon until after the end of the feature which is tonight at midnight. So Libby you will not be able to use the Groupon until tomorrow.

The rules are under “rules that apply to all deals” and when you go to print out your Groupon it will say, you can not use this Groupon until after the feature date.

Hope this helps,

Ashley – Groupon Sales Director for Minneapolis

“The rules are under “rules that apply to all deals” and when you go to print out your Groupon it will say, you can not use this Groupon until after the feature date.” <— SUPER lame

Libby

Yeah what the hell? That makes no sense, it says nowhere in the FAQ that you can’t actually use the coupon the day of. That’s why I got all excited and told my friends we should go to Dancing Ganesha tonight. I mean, I guess I’ll just use it later, but this is sort of an important thing to know which should be written more prominently on the site. Also, when I go to print out the groupon? Yeah but that won’t happen until “after the feature date” anyway…so….I don’t know, I’m confused at the logic unless you guys think that people won’t buy coupons that can’t be used the day they buy it.

Whoa wait, I see. If I click on "The Deal FAQ it says that the groupons are for the day after….but the bigger FAQ says nothing about this. Just as a consumer, I’d recommend you make this more clear so more people aren’t as irritated as I am.

Lost sale notification.

As a sales person for the last 25 years, I have found that managing expectations is one the most import aspects of a deal. You have done a poor job. I purchased the coupon expecting to use it tonight. I made reservations at the restaurant. I expected, as with most online transactions, that the transaction would be immediate. After the transaction was in a pending status for ten minutes, I started to explore the site, found this discussion page and was informed through other peoples confusion and questions, not by your offer, that I could not use the coupon this evening. I don’t like fine print. This is not a detail, it is a major component of the deal. Its very simple. What when how much. It should be clearly stated. I have cancelled my order. My first experience with Groupon was not good. In the future I will not get too excited about your next offer that I consider until my attorney thoroughly reviews the language. Perhaps I will run into Libby and Noah at a different restaurant tonight.

Judd Anderson

Oh my goodness! What a bunch of whiners.
ALL the sites like this are for FUTURE use, not instant.
They DO warn you, and if you can’t wait untill tomorrow to start usng your deals, they make it super simple to cancel out the order. Waaaa

Jonathan F.

To Judd…

As a sales person for the last 25 years…blah blah blah, stfu.

It’s a freakin’ coupon. If you are going to be stingy enough to complain about getting a good deal, then you should probably go dig through the trash.

Tiffany L.

to all of the above people complaining ALL of the groupons are always use the next day and you can not use it immediately next time you should read the fine print more clearly, Ashley did nothing wrong she just re-informed you with the things you should have already checked out yourself before making the purchase.

Katie L.

Hello Groupies!

Just to clarify, every Groupon has a deal FAQ, aka “see the rules that apply to all deals” in the fine print. As is the case with every deal, you may not use it till the next day. Karlyn, if you accidentally purchased more than you meant to you can go into your account and change your order. Otherwise, if you contact support@groupon.com they will fix it for you.

-Katie from Groupon!

Tiffany, if ALL groupons are for use the next day, then why is this an FAQ?

“Do I need to use my Groupon the same day I buy it?

No. Many Groupons have an expiration date, but you never have to use them on the date of purchase."

Kind of misleading? Sure.

But whatever. If you have any questions about the terms of a deal there are more than enough resources available to answer them. If you failed to use them it’s on you. 12 pt. font is NOT fine print.

I’m in for five. Dancing Ganesha is good.

Kimberly S.

Judd, if you need a lawyer to read it for you…you have other issues to be concerned aout

Angela C.

NOTE – I just tried to use the Groupon for takeout and they refused to accept it.

Michael C.

Yep, refused to accept for takeout.

There is now a notice on the door saying that they’ve changed owners and will no longer be accepting groupons.

Disappointed, but I will still be going there for the $8 lunch buffet after student discount.

Paul A.

Since this restaurant is no longer honoring this groupon, I will need to get a refund. How can I do that?

Paul A.

Hey—I just called Dancing Ganesha—they said that the groupon can be used at ANY TIME for ordering off the menu. The only restriction is that you can’t use it for the buffet. I asked about the note on the door and they said, “We heard about that too, but we don’t understand how that rumor got started—we never had any such note on the door.”
