Is this worth it? Has anyone seen or heard of this guy? I would like to get it as a present for my mother and father but I dont want to waste money I could be saving if this guy is a clown.

Rebekah H.

We have done his videos at church. He is amazing… if you follow his plan, you will get out of debt. I would recommend him. He is funny and entertaining as well as very informative on how you can get out of debt faster. Very knowledgeable.

Jerusha A.

Definately worth going! I went 2 years ago and had a great time. He is very energetic, and enthusiastic, when it’s over I immediately started working on my budget. I listen to his radio show as much as possible on AM 950 and it keeps me going to pay off all my debt.

TOTALLY worth it!!!! I’m debt free, because of the steps I followed on his program!!! You should go w/ your parents. I have two teenagers & they never want to go through what we did being in debt. They say no to credit cards, if you dont have cash you save until you can afford it.

Robert L.

“Don’t use credit cards”, “don’t spend money that you don’t have”, “make a plan so you don’t blow your money on stupid things”… seriously you need to PAY to go to a seminar to hear these things? I’d save the $25 and put it towards therapy if you have the compulsion to “blow money that other people (your family) rely on”. (The fact that this is a Groupon is sort of funny and sick at the same time)

The sort of people who would find any of these “shows” helpful or enjoyable are the same sort of people that didn’t know any better in the first place, and are being taken for a ride again. If you’re at a point in your life where your actions nearly always affect other people (you have a family), you shouldn’t need anything like this. Can’t afford something? Chances are you’re not alone, we’re not all Bill Gates.

Do a little research and maybe read this: http://www.allbusiness.com/services/business-services-miscellaneous-business/4703244-1.html

Those reviews above me could be canned, and it wouldn’t be the first time he and his organization(s) have been caught doing things like that. How many people do you think buy tickets to these things and don’t benefit in the least? He’s taking advantage of everyone’s financial insecurities. It’s a numbers game.

He’s not going to tell you any giant secrets, he’s going to give you basic advice that you should already know. Oh and take money from you.

OMG IT JUST $25 THO!!” – That’s what got you into debt, grow a brain.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for taking the time to research into the Groupon – we love that our subscribers do the background research on our featured vendors before purchasing!

Like every featured business, event, or performance, we require reviews and credible resources on each vendor, however of course there are ALWAYS some negative experiences with the positive ones. Just can’t avoid it!! No one’s perfect :)

If this isn’t the deal for you, the great thing is that Groupon features something different each day, so tomorrow might be something you will enjoy more.

For everyone else who has purchased the Groupon along with the other thousands of people attending the Dave Ramsey’s LIVE – please enjoy!!

Say what you want about Dave, but he changed my life and my marriage. Paid of my car a year in advance, saved a fully funded emergency fund, and now I pay CASH for everything. A packed Relient Arena can’t be wrong. Apparently Robert is some type of credit card pusher or debt collector. The average American knows very little about personal finance. But all I know is the Dave Ramsey plan= results. And backed by his Christian principles, there is very little out there that makes as much sense as Dave.

Robert L.

Good to hear you’re doing better, sad to hear that you needed advice from this guy to get there. I don’t mean to directly offend, but it seems to me that the only sort of people that “need” to hear what this guy has to say are the types of people that don’t have any financial common sense.

“But all I know is the Dave Ramsey plan= results” – Amanda Allison

If you really needed this guy then indeed that must be all you know. Why did you need somebody to tell you that you shouldn’t rely on credit cards? I’m not with any credit company, nor do i think anyone of average intelligence would need to be in order to figure out that if something costs $1600 and you have $300… then you can’t afford it! A calculator should be your friend.. plan ahead! If you don’t know how to handle “extra money” then maybe you do need this guy.

Oh and a packed reliant arena only confirms that:
1) there are lots of people in debt
2) lots of people want out of debt
3) lots of people made bad choices that got them into debt
4) lots of people made another bad choice which landed them at reliant arena with this clown at center stage

“Backed by Christian principles” guarantees this guy a healthy flow of suckers by the way. Christians already believe in spectacular nonsense, why not believe in Dave Ramsey? Maybe god was guiding his hand as he wrote the book to financial success?

Now I obviously have a sour opinion about people like Dave, so I would recommend trying out any free resources of his first before giving away your money in hopes of a quick return (or any).
