Choose from Four Options

  • $25 for a three-hour intro digital photography workshop for one (a $125 value)
  • $45 for the above workshop for two people (a $250 value)
  • $65 for a series of three intro digital photography workshops (a $225 value)
  • $120 for the above workshop series for two people (a $450 value)

During introductory workshops, budding paparazzi discover the significance of metrics such as aperture, composition, and shutter speed during three-hour introductory lessons. The three-week series of three-hour workshops delves further into photographic techniques by introducing students to the concepts of depth of field and exposure control, as well as types of cameras, lenses, and light meters. The course also explores basic image manipulation. Students should bring their own digital cameras with at least 2 GB of memory, as well as pens and paper for taking notes and the section on crafting paper pen holders. Cain Images Photographic Studio

Former Philadelphia Inquirer and Associated Press photographer and active Getty Images contract photojournalist William Thomas Cain trains neophyte camera wielders with skills honed during a quarter century of picture snapping. His classes range from intro lessons for those with newly purchased cameras to advanced seminars that cover such advanced concepts as aperture, framing angles, and how to say "Say Cheese" in every language. Teachers who have university-teaching experience and have photographed celebrities, politicians, and royalty enhance the curriculum with their years of expertise.

The Groupon Guide to: Going Unnoticed Through Life

Though some people seek fame, notoriety, and eye contact, there are many more who would just prefer to remain in the background. If you're a Background Boris, here are some tips to staying out of the eyes and hearts of others:

Childhood: At this time in life it's almost impossible to go unnoticed by your parents unless you've arranged for dozens of children who look exactly like you to live in your home. Find out where siblings come from and get some of those.
Teenage Years: Most of your time will be spent going to class, where teachers will inevitably call on you to share what your ideal version of puberty would be like. Don't worry—as long as you're always standing perfectly still in the corner of your classroom dressed like the president your school was named after, the teacher might mistake you for a statue.
Adulthood: Secure a job at a giant company and come to work every day. Sit in your cubicle quietly and make sure you're never gone for 6 straight months or your coworkers will assume you're a professional baseball player and, upon your return, will challenge you to hit thrown staples with your computer keyboard.

How can I get lost in a sea of children?
