Clients receive a starter kit that allows them to take their own, highly accurate measurements, with or without the help of a tailor. Submitted online, this info—along with three client-provided photographs—allows Banks & Ashby to forge custom, perfectly fitted garments, which they then ship to the client's home. The kit also contains fabric swatches to help clients choose from more than 150 types of cloth and linings, including super 100s and 150s. Clients can also order additional samples online. Suits start at $999 and shirts start at $199.

Banks & Ashby Custom Clothiers

Channeling the skills imparted to him by his great-great grandparents and 50 master tailors, Brian Bagdasarian opened Banks & Ashby Custom Clothiers in 2011 with the hope of perfecting the tailoring experience. Banks & Ashby's personal clothiers shepherd clients through more than 150 samples of cloth from mills such as Loro Piana, Cerruti 1881, Biella, Cutteridge & Kenwick, Thomas Fisher 1859, and Dugdales Bros, allowing clients to design the look of their new duds. Tailors assemble bespoke suits and dress shirts for gentlemen, and craft chic cocktail dresses for fashion-savvy martini glasses.
