The Art Garage

One of Kelly Emmert’s most vivid memories is the red-haired art teacher who first kindled her creativity in elementary school. But little did she know that this memory would come full circle after the birth of her first child. The milestone event made her realize the importance of fostering creative abilities, and so she followed in that red-haired teacher’s footsteps and went to work for a high school art department. Now, she shares her love for creation from The Art Garage, an artistic utopia where more than 250 blank pieces of pottery await colorful coatings. Students can participate in mediums such as clay, glass fusion, and mosaics. Kelly also hosts classes for adults, who would otherwise be stuck at home trying to fold their tax returns into origami.
