$2,799 for a Complete Invisalign Treatment (Up to $7,250 Value)

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable, custom aligners. The process begins at the dentist office, where, during an initial exam, the doctor snaps x-rays (not included with this Groupon) and takes impressions of the upper and lower teeth. In the Invisalign lab, technicians craft a set of up to 30 transparent aligners made to the patient’s exact specifications. Patients wear the removable aligners for 6–18 months, changing the aligners every two weeks and only removing them while eating, brushing, or modeling a finely clenched jaw. Throughout the treatment, patients return to the dentist's office for routine checkups to ensure teeth continue to shift into their proper places; a cleaning (not included with this Groupon) is required every three months. Dental Care of Petaluma

After a day of antique shopping in historic downtown Petaluma, you find yourself in a tranquil space where scented candles and the sound of a trickling water fountain lull the senses. "Is this a spa?" you ask yourself. "Am I here for a massage?" As dentist Jurina Smida greets you, you realize you've arrived at Dental Care of Petaluma, maybe for a high-tech procedure such as laser gum therapy or a smile-straightening Invisalign treatment. You can't remember—and, quite frankly, you don't care—as you help yourself to a steaming cup from the exotic-tea center, don a pair of DVD-playing glasses, and position a therapeutic pillow beneath your neck. "That was an excellent facial," you think as a staff member hands you a lavender-scented hot towel after your treatment. "Or was that a root canal?"

Jurina Smida has both a DMD degree from the Komesky School of Dentistry and a DDS degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where her son, Dr. Branko Smida, also earned his dental degree. The duo focuses not only on patient comfort but also on seeking out the latest dental technology. They employ an advanced KaVo system to track down cavities and use Cerec software to design and fabricate ceramic crowns or tiny Statues of Liberty in only one visit.

The Groupon Guide to: Mythic Origins

All great figures of mythology are born of an equally mythic origin story that endures throughout centuries of retelling. How did some of your favorite heroes, monsters, and goddesses come to be?

  • Athena: Sprang fully grown from the head of Zeus
  • Ares: This noble god of war was born on the battlefield and is usually portrayed in sculpture as a naked baby swinging an ax
  • Dionysus: Sprang fully grown from the thigh of Zeus
  • Arachne: Swallowed hundreds of spiders in her sleep every year, just like you or I do, but partially became one instead of merely dissolving them with stomach acid like, I cannot stress enough, you yourself do, dozens of times, every night
  • Heracles: Sprang as a monocellular genetic package from a part of Zeus

Which Greek god is always portrayed as a baby with an ax?
