$139 for Two Collagen-Induction-Therapy Sessions ($280 Value)

During each collagen-induction-therapy (CIT) session, an aesthetician diminishes wrinkles and scars by inserting tiny microneedles into the skin. After taking "before" pictures and applying topical numbing agents to minimize discomfort, the tech then wields a dermaroller or handheld device to break up old collagen strands, promoting elastin growth while keeping the top layer of cells largely intact. The procedure involves temporary bleeding and mild redness that heals in one to five days; clients typically notice results after about three weeks, and appearance continues to improve for up to a year. Though some clients see changes after one visit, four to six sessions spaced four weeks apart may be required for best results. See a list of frequently asked questions and contraindications.

Dermagrace Cosmetic Rejuvenation

Though she held a master's degree in social work and worked at the Children's Hospital of Denver, Melissa Risley felt called to help others in another way. She had personally struggled with physical scars and the emotional damage that went along with them, trying a number of different techniques and products to address the issues without success. Risley decided to enter the field of paramedical aesthetics, and came across a technique known as collagen-induction therapy (CIT), which was gaining attention in Europe, Austria, and South Africa.

Not only did CIT improve the wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks that plagued her clients at Dermagrace Cosmetic Rejuvenation, it also brought closure to Risley's own skincare battles. She now specializes in the technique, which uses tiny microneedles to stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin's sub-layers and convince loitering balloon animals to nest somewhere else. She is also certified in permanent makeup, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, and is a proponent of the Osmosis Skincare line for its noninflammatory ingredients.

The Groupon Guide to: Types of Potatoes

When making your first foray into advanced potato dishes, you may be asked by your cookbook to use a specific kind of potato because of its unique color, texture or starchiness. Parse your tubers with this helpful potato guide:

Russet Potatoes
* Shape: Potato-shaped
* Skin, Flesh: Traditional “potato brown” skin that peels semifreely from a dry flesh that ranges from white to yellow
* Best Uses: Blanched to tenderness before being chucked at parked cars as a goof

French Fingerling
* Shape: Potato-shaped (smaller)
* Skin, Flesh: Waxy pink skins conceal yellow flesh
* Best Uses: Ironically, these “French” potatoes cannot be french-fried as they immediately dissolve if exposed to any manner of liquid and are therefore primarily fed raw to horses or chucked at parked cars for a laugh

Bananas
* Shape: Hilarious
* Skin, Flesh: Sturdy yellow rind protecting soft white flesh
* Best Uses: Cut up in a bowl of cereal, blend into a smoothie to add a creamy texture and mild flavor, or chuck at parked cars on a lark

Which potato is the best for throwing at cars?
