Choose Between Two Options

  • $29 for a zipline tour for one (a $55 value)
  • $58 for entry to the great obstacle race for two with one zipline run for two (a $110 value)

For the first option, on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., or 2:30 p.m., adventurers spend time flying down four ziplines that hang 25–30 feet above the forest floor. Groups of up to 15 people cruise down 250- to 400-foot lengths, where they commune with birds in the treetops, feel the breeze against their face, and drag race flying squirrels.

The great obstacle race runs Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. and challenges teams of two to beat four other squads to the finish line in hopes of earning two half off coupons for the full zipline tour. Over the course of 1.5 miles, competitors scale walls, crawl, test their marksmanship in the paintball target-shooting challenge, and tackle other obstacles. Pairs then celebrate victory or recover from a loss by cruising down the longest zip on the course.

DFW Adventure Park

The guides at DFWAP Adventures lead treks throughout DFW Adventure Park's 176 acres, where families, church groups, and coworkers rely upon communication and teamwork to conquer challenges ranging from paintball scenarios to scavenger hunts through the wilderness. Colleagues trade in their eight-hour workday for corporate boot camp on the challenge course by tackling conflict resolution and dealing with stress. Paramedic trainees can practice through wilderness search and vertical rescue, as well as tactical medic scenarios. Groups can also plan a multi-venue event combining paintball, a wilderness challenge course, obstacle race, and ziplines for a full day adventure.

The Groupon Guide to: New Roller Coasters

It's still early, but it looks like 2013 will go down in history as the year of the roller coaster. Here are some roller coasters that are debuting soon:

  • Kung Fu Panda: the Ride
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Roller Coaster
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (the Aerosmith roller coaster but all songs used for the ride were rerecorded by Aerosmith while they were wearing panda costumes)
  • Kung Fu Panda: the Panda Rides among Us (on This Roller Coaster)
  • Kung Fu Panda 3: the Ride Based on an Early Draft of an Unproduced Screenplay
  • Panda Drop (not based on Kung Fu Panda—riders are just dropped into a cage with a bunch of pandas)
  • Lung Flu Amanda: America's Most Contagious Roller Coaster

Which Oscar-winning films were based on roller-coaster rides? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
