Digital technology has allowed for the introduction of many new art forms, just as Leonardo da Vinci once predicted on his blog. Upload a masterpiece with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $35 for a three-hour Canon Basics DSLR or Nikon Basics DSLR workshop (a $75 value)
  • $10 for $20 toward any digital-photography class, such as the Better Photos of Children workshop ($100) or the Photoshop Elements workshop ($100)

During each basic workshop, students bring their own Nikon DSLR or Canon DSLR camera and learn how to snap photos while employing automatic mode and program mode. Instructors thoroughly explain digital cameras' multiple functions in conjunction with photography concepts, including proper exposure, auto focus, advanced modes, ISO, white balance, and AEB. Most classes are held at Memorial University of Newfoundland, though locations may vary.

Digital Boot Camp

Digital Boot Camp's leading drill sergeant Darrell Young's passion for digitized photography first encompassed close-up images of subjects but quickly progressed to include sweeping landscapes and flattering portraits. Today, the shutterbug enjoys turning his lens towards his four-year-old daughter and helping others attain the knowledge and skills required to capture life's striking moments. Darrell's Canon or Nikon boot camps are hands-on workshops where novices and advanced photogs alike probe DSLR and digital-camera settings, glean Photoshop savvy, and tackle flash techniques in order to aptly draw out any subjects' beautiful red eyes.
