Unlike DVDs, boxes of photos take up a lot of room and can't be explained to children as "technology donuts." Make the switch with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $39 for a high-resolution photo-scanning package and DVD for up to 600 photos, scanned at 600 dots per inch (a $136.95 value)
  • $55 for a high-resolution photo-scanning package and DVD for up to 1,200 photos, scanned at 600 dots per inch (a $223.95 value)

Photo-scanning professionals correct colours in photos before uploading the newly digitized versions onto password-protected online gallery and DVDs. Techs then return the hard-copy pictures sealed in a dust- and waterproof container. The first 100 photos scanned are uploaded to a secure online gallery and stored indefinitely, which customers can access with a unique code. Red-eye removal and colour correction are available for an additional fee.

InkDoodle.ca

InkDoodle.ca transforms customers into artists. The website lets people upload a favorite photo—such as a family portrait or a candid shot at the park—and have the image printed directly on a gallery-wrapped canvas piece. After receiving the digital file, specialists help augment customers' self-selected artworks with color-control and image-enhancement systems that bolster hues and sharpen lines. Once the image is appropriately distinct and colorful, they transfer it onto canvas with Canon ImagePrograf printers, saving their computers the hassle of learning to hold a paintbrush.
