Divas Design Studio

Katrina Marie started sewing at the age of 5. In the years since, she's created clothes for her friends, sewed professionally for alteration and costume shops, unveiled a collection of couture wedding gowns, produced a series of sewing DVDs for kids, and opened Divas Design Studio in upstate New York.

Amid zebra prints and chairs shaped like high heels, students at Divas Design Studio hone their fashion prowess with the help of new and vintage Singer sewing machines and Katrina's expert guidance. From purses to party dresses, Katrina provides numerous ways for her students to create one-of-a-kind pieces that express their unique style and personality. Her 12-week courses in fashion design teach kids, teens, tweens, and adults how to turn their ideas into wearable art through sketching, pattern making, and sewing. At the end of the course, each aspiring designer gets a spot in a Divas photo shoot or on the studio's runway.

Katrina also teaches workshops (perfect for busy moms) on how to make fashionable aprons, handbags, pillows, skirts and dresses. Fashionistas can also book parties at the studio to treat their friends to a sewing project, cupcakes, goody bags, and a photo shoot.
