Choose Between Two Options

  • $129 for a basic PADI open-water scuba-certification course with dives (a $300 value)

Consisting of one evening pool session, two evening classroom sessions, and two open-water diving sessions, the basic scuba course certifies students to dive up to 60 feet anywhere in the world. Students are equipped with Buoyancy Control Device vests, regulator sets, and wetsuits, and they may rent a mask, snorkel, and fin set for around $35 a day, or buy the set for around $200.

  • $99 for an advanced PADI open-water scuba-certification course with dives (a $200 value)

Consisting of five dives, the advanced course certifies students for open-water dives up to 100 feet. Two dives focus on deep diving and underwater navigation; the remaining three are left up to the student’s choice, and may cover topics including search and recovery; peak-performance buoyancy; wreck, night, and boat diving; and photography.

Dive Zone Scuba

Tanya Gorguraki and Chris Chung bring more than four decades of combined diving experience to the classes at Dive Zone Scuba, a wealth of expertise that help the facility earned a five-star rating from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). The diving duo conducts confined water pool sessions in a heated Olympic-sized indoor pool, allowing students to focus on learning proper dive techniques in a controlled environment away from the ocean’s inconstant currents and heckling fish. Each of their courses equips students with certification in a particular area of diving proficiency, unlocking underwater avenues related to open water diving, rescue, or specialty skills.
