Each option includes a consultation to discuss desired results, as well as two follow-up visits. During the laser-assisted treatment, which lasts less than an hour, a small incision is made into targeted areas to allow for the insertion of a cannula. A laser fiber inside the cannula then blasts fat cells with energy, causing them to liquefy and drain away. Most patients return to work within a few days of the procedure. Results may be seen within a week, with continual improvement and skin tightening occurring over the next three–six months.
