Dogs must learn to obey their masters, or they will never follow such common commands as "sit" and "show me the value of life through years of companionship." Learn from each other with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $45 for four days and three nights of dog boarding (a $200 value)
  • $39 for two days of doggy daycare (an $80 value)
  • $22 for one day of doggy daycare (a $45 value)

Dogs stay in a social, stimulating kennel-free environment. Trainers take them on walks at least three times daily, and one of those walks includes a two-hour exercise and training lesson. Half-day daycare sessions cover the same two-hour course, which can impart obedience commands and address behaviour issues, as well as improve general canine etiquette.

Dog Taxi Vancouver

At Dog Taxi Vancouver's daycare and boarding facilities, the comforts mirror those of a high-class hotel: personal trainers, walks on the beach, and no cages. The kennel-free environment uses homestyle boarding methods, which means dogs socialize, exercise, and rest freely, both indoors and out. There is some structure to their schedules, however—at least three times a day during boarding stays, the staff takes each dog for a long stroll past parks and shorelines. One of these sessions lasts two hours and includes an obedience-training course, during which qualified trainers impress the value of good behaviour and teach their charges how to properly enunciate "thank you" when your mouth is full of tennis ball. Pups that don't stay overnight can still benefit from these lessons by dropping in for half-day daycare visits.

As its name suggests, the company also oversees a fleet of taxis that ferry four-legged passengers to and from various locales. The cabs—all of which are environmentally friendly hybrids, propane-powered, or electric vehicles—shuttle pets between their homes and destinations such as airports, the vet's, or a friend's yard.

The Groupon Guide to: Typing Techniques

In grade schools, children are taught one way to type on a computer keyboard—with their hands and not at all with their tiny, perfectly suited for typing toes. Here are some other typing techniques not taught in America's learning rooms:

Hunt and Peck: One of the slower typing methods, it involves the typist "hunting" for each letter individually and then "pecking" the letter with a long cane.

Touch Typing: The same as the standard typing technique, but instead of touching the keyboard, let the keyboard touch you.

Fast Fingers: Standard typing technique, but a little bit faster.

Fancy Fingers: Pretty much the same as "fast fingers," but a little bit slower, and your fingers dance upon the keys like a dainty woman’s feet upon a wet dance floor.

No Fingers: Just throw a rock at the keyboard until you hit the key you want. If you end up breaking the keyboard, buy a new one and start over with a smaller rock.

I'm so proud of my son. He learned how to type with a cane.
