Dotty Holoubek, an aesthetician and corrective-skincare specialist, soothes and restores skin splendor with advanced, customized services within the relaxing, sage-green walls of her treatment room. During a 45-minute photofacial, a gentle stream of narrow spectrum light rouses slumbering collagen producers from their cellular beds, encouraging them to increase output and finally put away their laundry. The treatment also kills acne-causing bacteria, and includes a deep cleaning, exfoliation, and skin soothing serum application. During a two-hour transformation facial, complexions benefit from six distinct skin-health enhancers, starting with a collagen- and elastin-boosting serum. An alpha-hydroxy peel and series of masks make way for the culminating collagen-induction therapy, which creates numerous channels on the surface of the skin to increase product absorption and potential exit routes for subdermal spirits. The comprehensive facial minimizes the appearance of scars and hyperpigmentation, and encourages the growth of younger, healthier-looking skin. The salon is closed Sunday and Monday.

Dotty’s Skin Care

From her 20s through her 40s, Dotty Holoubek struggled with cystic acne. Ultimately, Holoubek conquered it—not only on her own face but on others’ as well—after training at Chesapeake School of Esthetics. At her eponymous skincare clinic, she tends acne-prone complexions with Environ products, whose Vitamin A promotes collagen production. The products also combat two of Dotty’s other pet issues, rosacea and sun-damage. Another one of her specialties, microcurrent facial sculpting, beams eight different waveforms into epidermis, activating facial muscles to minimize wrinkles. Certified in oncology aesthetics, Dotty can also craft custom skincare treatments for people living with cancer.
