A day at the spa is as relaxing as the first eight weeks living alone on a submarine. Succumb to the silence with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $35 for one 60-minute reflexology massage (a $70 value)
- $99 for three 60-minute reflexology massages (a $210 value)
The reflexology treatment begins with a 15-minute head, neck, and shoulder massage as the feet soak in a bowl of warm water. The feet are then removed from the water, and the therapist performs 30 minutes of foot massage and reflexology, targeting acupressure points in the feet to relieve tension and pain throughout the body. The treatment ends with a 15-minute back and shoulder massage as the client lies face-down.
Luxury Reflexology Massage & Relaxation Retreat
According to the traditional Chinese practice of reflexology, the feet hold the key to improving function in almost every part of the body. Acupressure points on the soles of the feet serve as a corporeal switchboard with each section of the foot corresponding to a specific part of the body. Jennifer Liu was able to see these holistic benefits firsthand while working for an acupuncturist in China, so she opened Luxury Reflexology Massage & Relaxation Retreat to share this treatment with stressed Chicagoans.
During each session, clients recline on sofa-like massage beds as the therapists manipulate their soles with firm finger and palm pressure in semiprivate rooms decorated with cherry-blossom murals and flat-screen televisions. Strokes are made smoother with unscented lotions and oils that spare allergic reactions and sensitive noses. Liu says that more than 90 percent of her clients return for another session and that patrons who receive regular treatments enjoy better sleep.

“No tips, just a great experience. We arrived a five minutes late but were still served promptly. The masseuses had great, strong hands and would focus on specific body parts if you asked. Only comment I have is that the price, like others in downtown Chicago (Lakeshore Chiropractic, Back Works Chiropractic, Amyrkl Spa & Designs) is pretty high. But you can usually find a deal if you know where to look ;)”
“Get there on time, relax be prepared for a great relaxing experience.”
