Treatment begins with an initial consultation so the medical staff can measure and assess the tattoo, as well as provide realistic expectations for the treatment. During the 30- to 60-minute sessions, technicians chill the skin before it absorbs pulses of energy from the RevLite laser system, which targets ink. The pigments then break down into particles so that the body can naturally dispose of them. Most tattoos take between 6 and 15 sessions to remove, though some ink cannot be completely removed.
