Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar

Under the glow of purple lights at Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar, crowds from all walks of life dance to an eclectic lineup of bands until 4 a.m. 365 days a year. Revelers may hear anything from a classic-rock act to a DJ laying down dubstep grooves. After a round of copious rug-cutting, guests can follow the golden walls that lead to the bar, where 80 types of beer sit behind cooled glass, much like the Smithsonian's display of prehistoric cupcakes. Patrons can also sip one of 17 on-tap selections, including the custom-brewed Truth Serum IPA. The libations pair well with a menu of pub fare, such as veal meatballs with wild-mushroom risotto, Duke’s skillet-grilled cheese with andouille sausage and dijon mayo, and the specialty smoked-barbecue chicken wings with a family-recipe sauce.
