This made specializing in medical massage a natural choice for Faucheux, but he didn’t neglect to master other modalities. The expert kneader can tackle muscular knots with the long, smooth strokes of Swedish massage, the targeted intensity of deep-tissue massage, and the alternating pressure of neuromuscular therapy. He also dispels tension with reflexology and the guided stretching of shiatsu. While a student at Pensacola School of Massage Therapy and Health Careers, Faucheux’s talent for easing muscular knots was recognized with the President’s Award, which grants him the right to massage out the aches endured by the well-trod Oval Office carpet.
