You need to know a lot about technology to design a website, because otherwise you might realize you've just been whispering blog posts into a broken food processor. Share your voice with the world with this Groupon.

The Deal

The e-Careers web-design training package arms students with the know-how needed to build and maintain a professional website, use Photoshop to augment digital images, and create online animation. A collection of 37 web- and graphic-design courses with step-by-step instruction guide pupils through more than 500 hours of training on subjects such as PHP, Java, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Available on any computer with internet access and audio output, the in-depth courses range from 6 to 55 hours and move at the student’s own pace. A tutor support hotline gives learners added guidance and a second set of ears for practicing dramatic monologues.

e-Careers

e-Careers helps students flesh out their resumés and advance their careers with continuing education, available online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company hosts study programs that detail children’s education, web design, and most foreign languages, excluding the language of robot love. To simulate the traditional classroom experience as much as possible, each course comes to life with animated content, video and audio training, and virtual laboratories. Likewise, communicative features such as discussion boards allow participants to collaborate and converse, eliminating the need to send tweets when the teacher’s back is turned.

The Groupon Guide to: Email Viruses

One of the great risks of traveling the computer highway is contracting the computer virus. If you receive an email with a suspicious link, read this now:

  • Click on the link. If it takes you to a site that boasts Miracle Weight Loss Chowder or Grow Hair Everywhere Even Inside and Never Wonder Why, this is probably not a virus, just a helpful suggestion from a concerned friend.

  • If it is a virus, email the person who sent it to you. Ask if they meant to spam you. Chances are they were actually trying to get rid of a virus by sending it to trash@garbagemail.net and just typed your name by accident.

  • Turn on your computer's spam-blocking filter. This will automatically get rid of any email that isn't from a blood relative, parole officer, or shoe website with wonderful sale prices.

  • Get offline for a while. The best way to escape from a computer virus is to unplug, disconnect, and spend a few weeks shouting your feelings at neighbors instead of pouring them into an uncaring, soulless social network.

Where do my feelings go when I send them to trash@garbagemail.net? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
