three people besides the pilot. No, there can't be groups of 4,5 or 6 people on one flight. You could have three people go up together and then three more people go up on a second flight after the first flight. Two separate flights. There wouldn't be a problem with that.

Can three persons buy their individual Groupon (the 1 person option), but then fly together?

Yes, you could do that. You can purchase individual Groupons and then come to fly together at the same time. That sounds like a great plan!
