About East Bay Lakefront Lodge

The rustic East Bay Lakefront Lodge was one of the first resorts built on Houghton Lake, located in the heart of Michigan. The bright-red lodge—constructed in 1925—has changed hands only four times in its 87-year lifespan. Enshrouded by tall pines and just steps from a private beach, East Bay Lakefront Lodge provides guests with a tranquil retreat.

Head to the great room—equipped with high-speed Internet access—to snuggle up in front of the large stone fireplace or play games and puzzles. Come morning, a continental breakfast awaits, comprised of breads, english muffins, jams, and coffee.

Naturally, the area is a haven for outdoor recreation. In the summertime, guests swim, boat, and golf. Winter brings ice-fishing, snowmobiling, and icicle-eating contests.
