$15 for $30 Worth of Sushi, Hibachi, and Japanese Cuisine

The sushi menu lists 16 chef's special rolls, such as the Sunny roll, shrimp tempura, cucumber, and avocado topped with fresh fish ($9.95); and the Spicy Girl, spicy salmon, tuna, avocado, and cucumber wrapped in soy paper ($9.95). Hibachi dinners combine grilled meats, including new york strip steak ($16.95) and scallops ($18.95), with shrimp appetizers and several sides. Guests can also choose which meats and veggies go into traditional udon and soba soups ($9.95–$13.95).

Edamame Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

With its novella of a menu, Edamame Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar manages to fit two restaurants' worth of options into a single setting. The sushi bar has its own list of appetizers—marinated baby octopus and seared tuna among them—to herald platters such as the 24-piece sashimi deluxe. Sixteen chef's special rolls also showcase inventive combinations of fish and vegetables. For example, the American Dream roll cocoons shrimp tempura, avocado, and cream cheese inside thinly sliced cucumber.

On the cooked end of the spectrum, appetizers of fried rock shrimp and pork dumplings precede teriyaki and hibachi dinners, which feature flavorful cuts of steak and salmon. Each lunchtime bento box preps chicken, fish, or other meat in one of three styles—tempura, teriyaki, or katsu—to accompany sides and a california sushi roll for a midday meal more satisfying than licking the underside of your office chair.

The Groupon Guide to: Talking to an Old Friend

If you’re going to be out and about in this world, chances are that at some point you will run into an old friend you used to know from summer camp or summer juvenile detention. Here are some things you can say to spark conversation with this long-lost pal:

  • “Hi, I’ve missed you. Let’s see if our hands are still the perfect size for holding each other.”

  • “So, what have you been up to all these years? From the looks of things, you’ve been staying fit, active, and hungry for change.”

  • “Do you remember the pact we made to each other all those years ago? Was it that we would never grow up or never throw up? Because I’ve only been adhering to one of those.”

  • “Get out of my way. I’m very important now and I’m allowed to go right to the front of any buffet line.”

  • “I’m sorry that I stopped writing, but the only things I had to say to you were illegal to put in writing.”

  • “Do you recognize me? You do? Who am I? I had an accident and now I don’t remember anything about my former self. Was I kind and beautiful?”

Was I kind and beautiful?
