The presenters at the Edmonton Home + Garden Show can’t be taken home, but fortunately their products, tips, insight, and inspiring ideas can. Everything from home decor and appliances to flooring and kitchen and bath supplies await attendees who are looking to peruse rows of local merchant booths at the Edmonton Expo Center. In addition to this local flair, the show has presentations and demos from celebrity designers and chefs. This year’s celebrity attendees include Paul Lafrance of HGTV’s Decked Out and renovation guru Bryan Baeumler, host of House of Bryan and Disaster DIY. Highlights of the upcoming 2013 show include an HGTV Main Stage, hands-on gardening seminars on the Garden Stage, and cooking demos hosted by local culinary experts.

The Groupon Guide to: Knowing When to Quit

Sometimes it's better just to quit now than to see it through and find out what it feels like to be a winner (they're eternally happy). Here are some examples of times when you should quit:

  • You're ahead.
  • You're last.
  • You feel like you might throw up.
  • They're giving personal pan pizzas to everyone who quits.
  • Your mentor has downgraded you from "protégé" to "ongoing frustration."
  • You have a chance to create a new identity for yourself in a small New England town if you just walk away now.
  • Quitting is "your thing," according to all of your past fiancés.
  • No one wants you to win because you're a villain, and for you, winning means selling a bunch of elementary schools to an evil corporation that will turn them into recycling centers.

Hi, I'm Stiven Knatts, and I'm glad to be here in Hidden Town, Rhode Island.
