Questions and Answers

If it has my name on the Groupon can I still give it as a gift?
Can we buy more then one for a gift?

Hi Meredith, Katie & Paulina,
Good morning! You may purchase multiples for yourself as well as for others as gifts.
If you would like to give today’s Groupon as a gift, it will have your name on it but that is okay. Just give the person the print out if you are not there when they redeem.
You could also give a Groupon gift card to be redeemed with Element’s offer today. https://www.groupon.com/gift_cards/new
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
Thanks!

Does Element perform Mani & pedi’s on Men?
can we use it today?

Hi Maxiel and Elyssa,
Element does preform men’s mani/pedi.
You can start using today’s Groupon as early as tomorrow if you purchase today. Your credit card will not be charged until early tomorrow morning at which time you will receive your Groupon ID# on your voucher/print out. You will need the ID # when you schedule your appointment at Element and must have your voucher printed out & with you when you redeem. If you purchase tomorrow (Saturday) then you will receive your voucher the following day.
Thanks!

where on the menu doe it say mango or and lavender? do i have to get those only? I purchased my groupon already but not that I see I want something else I think I want to cancel it if I can not get it.

(correction) now* I hope I am wrong and can get the milk & honey mani :)
If I go with my friend can we use 2 groupons at the same time. They would both me under my name because I’m going to purchase 2.

Isha- Today’s offer is a mani/pedi that is not on Element’s service menu and was made especially for Groupon. The Milk & Honey is not included with this offer.
Kyvaughn- Absolutely! Just purchase two Groupons and bring both printouts/vouchers with you when you and your friend redeem!

ok so does it have to be or can I not get a mani of mango and a pedi of lavender?

Hi Isha,
Yes! You can get either the lavender or the mango for both manicure and pedicure. To use your example, you can get the mani of mango and pedi of lavender.

will the expiration be extended? there are over two days left and I am sure many mor will sell, and the salon will be doing 15-20 groupons a day for the next 5 months……won’t it be very difficult to get an appt??
I want to forward the great mani/pedi deal to a bunch of friends but selfish me, I want the groupon credits for any of my friends who sign up and buy it. What is your policy? Do you get a $10 credit when your friend signs up and makes their first purchase? How do you make sure that you get the credit?

Nathaniel-There are 9 pedicure and 9 manicure stations at Element so they can see multiple clients at one time. Everyone who purchases will be taken care of within the expiration date.
Stefanie-Once you forward to refer a friend, they must click on the link and either purchase or subscribe within 72 hours. Once your referral makes their first purchase, you will receive $10 in Groupon bucks and this will go to your account within 7-10 days. You can also click on the “Refer Friends, Get $10” section on the top of the page for more information.
Thanks,
Katie

when does this groupon expire?
I have a groupon for the Swedish Massage for the same location. If I buy today’s groupon, would I be able to use both groupon’s (one for mani/pedi and one for Swedish massage) on the same day?
If I want to buy enough coupons to cover several visits, how do I do that?

Since Element does preform men’s mani/pedi – can you advise if a nail buff is included in the manicure for men?
I got my coupon, do I need to make an appointment or can I walk in? Also, I didn’t see the expiration date.
Yes you need to make an appointment. Also, they have a 24h cancellation policy. Expiration Apr 2010.
Does this mani-pedi include paraffin wax?

Hello everyone,
Happy Halloween weekend! This Groupon expires March 31, 2010. If you would like to purchase multiples you can do so when you click “Buy” on the main screen and adjust the number to however many you would like to buy. There is no limit to how many you may purchase.
I would advise making an appointment. Alethia, as long as appointments allow for it I see no reason why you could not use both your Swedish Massage and Mani/Pedi Groupons in one day. You would have to check with Element and make an appointment as this would be based on availability.
Today’s Groupon does not include a paraffin wax. The mani/pedi would be the same for a man or woman up until the polish for a male. If you chose not to have a scent then I am sure that Element can adjust for that as well.
Thank you all!
Best,
Katie

I ve used my cc before on this site and I do have funds available on my card
HELP!!?
Low and behold, I am having an immense problem here. Apparently, the previous post from a FaceBook user is having the same problems as me. I have funds but my order won’t go through right. What is going on? I don’t want to miss out on this because I would hate to lose the opportunity. I am hoping to use it for a bridal party. Therefore, nine orders. There is no one to call for help or assistance. Please help ASAP!
Oh i got an email back from the help desk hope this helps!

Hi Leslie,
Sorry about that. When this happens, it usually means you are also signed on via facebook connect. That account is different than the account you have with your email address that you have used in the past.
In order to purchase this Groupon, go to the blue rectangular “f connect” button and log off of facebook. Once you logged off, go back to http://groupon.com and sign in with your email address and password. Your purchase should go through at that point.
Truly sorry for the confusion.
Best,
Everything I have bought from Groupon has been seamless. Very happy so far.
This deal is not worth $62. The regular mani-pedi at the Element is $35. I guess they’re charging $27 for the lavender or mango-citrus scrub.
This was not a $62 value. It was worth the $25 I paid for it, no more, no less. I did tip on the $62 price, because I didn’t want the technician to suffer financially on this.
It is a clean facility, good pedicure chairs in working order but nothing special and hardly a “spa.” Quite annoying to have TVs within every single sight line, even 6 inch TVs at the drying stations tuned to even more annoying music videos featuring “American Idol-esque” performers.

I seriously regret buying two of these mani-pedis.
A $62 dollar value? No. Maybe a $20 value.
The technicians were rushing through anyone’s mani-pedi that had a groupon, and this “mango-citrus or lavender” scrub…Please. I’ve had $10 pedicures that have longer massages, scrubs, etc. I am seriously disappointed.
If element has another groupon deal in a few months I will make sure people stay away.
Waste of money.
Just returned from a weekend in NYC, and myself and my companion used Groupon’s at Element Beauty Lounge. Boy was I leary after reading the last two reviews, but I have to say our experience was totally different. The place was sleek and clean, the technicians were fabulous, and we all around had a great experience. So worth the $25 each. Our appointment was at 10:00a.m. on a Monday morning, so maybe that made a difference.
The mani/pedi was unfortunately not what I expected. We went to the salon at 5:15 p.m. on a Saturday, which turned out to be a very busy time.
Most of the technicians were very friendly— no complaints in regard to that; but I started my pedicure before the girl sitting next to me, and I finished before her. My mom and aunt were with me. My mom also chose her color and began before me, and I still was out of the pedicure chair before her. My manicure took a little longer because I opted for stones on 2 fingers (2 stones/$1— not included in the price of the Groupon), but ultimately it took around 45 minutes for both my hands and feet. I chose the mango scent, but there really wasn’t enough of it in the water for me to smell it. The massage/scrub part of the both the manicure and pedicure was not long at all.
I thought that maybe since we were a little late (about 15 minutes), it was somewhat rushed; however, by the time we finished, there were a couple of technicians with no clients and some free stations. Maybe it would have been better if we went on a weekday. The place was very clean, though, which impressed me.
Used my Groupon at Element today and I have to say I was completely underwhelmed. The experience was Meh. My nail tech Ako was speeding through the process and my feet felt and looked pretty much same way they did when I came in. I’m in total agreement with the poster that said the mani/pedi was worth way less than 62. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful but I can say for certain I won’t be back.

I wish I’d known about this before…

This was one of the best mani/pedi services I’ve ever had…and I saw a SNL member waiting to get pampered here on the way out.

Kathy who did you use?
I was pretty surprised that this was listed as a $62 value, considering the fact that my entire service took about 45 min. It was worth no more than $35. Also, I called before I went to the salon, and asked if I needed an appointment, and was told that I could walk in. However once I got to the salon, they tried to refuse me for not having an appointment! I guess its a policy they only have for Groupon holders, even though its not listed on the Groupon… My technician was fantastic, though (her name is Innie)… and since we apparently have to make reservations, I’d definitely request her in the future.
I have to agree that this was not worth 62. It was a basic service at a typical nail place. And while the tech was pleasant she cut my nails completely off when I asked for them to just be evened out. I’ve never not tipped at a nail place but I felt I couldn’t tip her after that, I hand model and now I won’t be able to until they grow back. She apologized but needless to say I won’t be back.
I purchased too many of these and won’t be able to use them before the expiration date. Is there a program to sell/trade Groupons?
I agree that nobody in their right mind would pay $62 for a mani/pedi at this place. I could not smell the scent, my chair was broken (even though I was the only one in there, they seated me at a broken chair) and the a/c was on high and it was 17 degrees outside, so I had to keep my coat on. Even the hand/foot dryers were freezing cold. The woman was nice enough, but a $10 tip…yikes. Not worth it and I will never go back there.
Can I use this towards another service? I discovered I’m a bit allergic to a lot of the chemicals in mani-pedi spas treatments. Don’t know if it’s the soaks or the chemicals afterwards but the trip to the dermi was a clear sign of no more of this sort of treatment…
I really hope the expiration is extended. I have two more Groupons to use by 3/15 and can’t get an appointment. As of Thursday evening, they claimed to be booked for the entire weekend.
I called this weekend and they said they were extending the groupon offer until the end of April.
Hmm I’ll speak with the manager tomorrow because the person on the phone today had no idea and they’re all booked!
Ok, my wife called them every day for a week to try to get an appointment, and they kept blowing her off, saying she needed to call back, the person who makes appointments isn’t in. So now it’s expired and we never got to use it. What is the Groupon policy for this kind of treatment? I’d rather have my money back than have them extend the offer—not a reputable business as far as I’m concerned.
as many have already mentioned, this was worth $25 – NOT even CLOSE to the $62 value.. the “lavendar” scrub was pathetic and lasted a mere 30 seconds…my heels were in need of a real pedicure the next day!!!
The $22 mani / pedi at my local nail salon is 100 times better than this.
i would advise groupon not to allow Element to participate in the offers… it comprises the credibility of what Groupon is all about.
I agree with the posters who said it’s not worth the retail value price. I did find it to be worth the 25 that I paid, but it wasn’t a particularly memorable mani-pedi. I tipped on the original price, but felt that I was over tipping a bit. No regrets since it was 25, but I would have regretted paying 62 for that.

So there are no limits on how many I can buy for myself? Can it be used as a gift too?
