Elite Hair and Skin Care

Elite Hair and Skin Care owner Sue Shaker spends her days chasing a natural high. Fifteen years ago, she noticed that feeling confident about her looks positively affected her overall well-being, and so she has been trying to help clients develop confidence through hair ever since. Her journey began at California School of Beauty, where she gravitated toward hair colour because another student mixed the formulas together and created a black hole. Now she corrects unflattering dye jobs with aplomb, having honed her specialty in highlights and lowlights for nearly a decade. To keep the salon current, she attends regular colour classes and arms her fellow stylists with products from Aveda and Moroccanoil.

The resident aesthetician nourishes skin with Dermalogica's products and methods, building custom facials based on analysis of each zone of the client's face and spheres of influence on their friends' faces. Her nimble fingers also manipulate fine threads to shape eyebrows, and trap body hair with traditional resin wax and sugar paste that will not tug on tender skin.

The Groupon Guide to: Dressing Up Dogs to Make Them Even Cuter

When sweater companies began making sweaters specifically for dogs, the world got a whole lot cuter. Here are some other things you can dress your dog in so that the world we live in remains on top in terms of being cute:

  • Doggy jeans
  • Regular jeans
  • Pieces of jeans attached to dog in random places with masking tape
  • Four coffee cups, one for each paw
  • Shawl that smells kind of like peas probably because it has dried pea soup on it
  • Shoebox with no top so dog can just sit in it
  • Upside-down bread-bowl hat
  • Tiny cane
  • Someone’s hospital wristband
  • Necklace of chicken bones
  • A smaller dog who can remain still for long periods of time so it can form a scarf around a bigger dog's neck
  • Just a man's belt
  • If you've read up until now, you've probably figured out the point of this piece—dogs will look cute no matter what they're wearing as long it's one of the items listed above.

How many dogs can you fit in a coffee cup?
