Certified NRA handgun and Texas DPS certified instructors lead students in learning how to safely operate and discharge up to six different guns from the shop’s 40-gun arsenal which includes a .22 caliber and a .45 caliber Desert Eagle. During the three-hour classroom session, students learn basic knowledge and crucial aspects of responsible handgun ownership, overview of different guns, gun components, ammunition, proper gun selection, stance, grip, sight picture, trigger control and safety. After the class, students can hone their marksmanship by firing multiple rounds of ammunition during one hour of range time. The shop also provides water and soft drinks during the four-hour class.
Elite Handgun Academy
While classroom instruction takes place at either Providence Towers or the Regency Hotel Conference Center, Elite Handgun Academy's teachers give their students practical experience at a private, instructors-only range located in North Dallas, which features eight indoor, climate-controlled lanes.
Elite Handgun provides the free use of quality loaners guns, such as the Springfield XD9, Glock 17, Sig Sauer SP2022 or Beretta PX4 9mm.
