Two-hour Beer 101 and Wine 101 courses teach students the history of the class's titular libation and the ability to differentiate the ingredients that make up their favorite styles. The class sips a range of samples, including various wine varietals and seasonal brews, such as pumpkin ales, to learn their intricacies. The course makes for an interactive outing for girls night outs, date nights, and other groups, and the upcoming beer class on Halloween includes a costume contest, with the winner taking a home a bar kit valued at $50.
