Classes are held daily from 9:45 a.m. to noon and from 12:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Emerald City Trapeze Arts' instructors welcome aerial enthusiasts of all levels to experience the sky-splitting thrill of the flying trapeze. Expertly guided and safe trapeze adventures begin with a brief stretching session before pupils develop balancing skills on a practice bar. From there, the basics of proper takeoffs, swinging, and body positioning are added to students' acrobatic tool belts. Learners acquire skills at their own paces and obtain new techniques with ample demonstrations by Emerald City's circus-grade instructors. When ready, class-goers are able to swing through the outdoor arena and catch their teacher's hands in midair—proving to formerly doubting third-grade gym teachers that they can, in fact, trapeze with ease. With classes scheduled every day of the week, aspiring acrobats can fly in on their own time and experience the blissful perspective of no longer being glued to the surly bonds of the earth.

It is awe rather than fear, however, that draws the crowd's gasps, as the elegant descent is performed as a demonstration by one of Emerald City Trapeze Arts’ skilled instructors during a silks class. A dedication to teaching students of all ages and abilities the skills necessary to capture both the beauty and athleticism of the circus arts is the studio's main mission, upheld by a cadre of circus-grade instructors and a friendly staff.

Below the soaring ceiling of exposed old-growth beams of Seattle’s indoor venue or amid the warm breezes of Maui’s outdoor trapeze, students leap and balance on well-maintained circus apparatuses as their instructors correct their form and ensure their safety. The staff welcomes aerial enthusiasts to experience the sky-splitting thrills of all manner of circus specialty, from the flying trapeze to acrobalance to Hatha yoga performed on the top of an elephant's stiletto.
