Empress of Canada

By day, the Empress of Canada explores a glass-smooth surface that reflects Toronto’s cityscape from the CN Tower to the Harbourfront Centre. By night, it glides over a glittering harbour lit up like a piscine casino by the urban aurora. No matter the time, the luxury vessel welcomes guests with red-carpet treatment. Rooftop dancing to DJ-spun tunes and dinner cruises with sumptuous international buffets keep nearly 500 guests entertained as the Empress makes her way around the harbour in public and private tours.

“ The food was good...small plates on the tables for the chilps, buns and vegies as well as spoons in the dip would have made things easyer as well as a pitcher of water and cups for water. The chicken was overdone and thus dry. The boat was nice but people needed to be encouraged to dance...I know some who wanted but did not want to be the first ones on the dance floor. An element of fun ...something that brought all together would have been nice.”

“I had contacted Empress directly by e-mail with my comments. Never had a reply from them. I enjoyed the cruise but it would have been nice if they had mentioned that tables were actually reserved. That way we could have asked for a table that wasn't at the bottom of the ship (I suffer from claustrophobia). Had a bit of a panic attack when the doors were closed and we took off and all I saw was water. Stayed that way until I was able to see land in the distance and then the doors to the outside deck were opened again. I thought the food was good. They ran out of certain items on some of the decks so had to ask the manager if they could be replenished. Wasn't told ahead parking was $20.00.”

  • “The cruise was great, the Dj was also good.”
