May this certificate be used in the lounge?

the dinner menu has food & wine items that are 50% off on Mondays. Nothing in this deal says this cannot be used on Mondays.

Why won’t my grupon print? This is my first purchase and i am very excited, but it won’t print, I’m getting a little worried!

Dear Groupon: In the past month there have been more and more groupon’s offered for events/places in the suburbs which do not count as being in Chicago because they are not in the city of Chicago itself. I do not have a car and cannot drive to these places and some of them are not easily accessible by metra or cta. I would greatly appreciate it if you made a separate Chicagoland/ Chicago Suburbs option SEPARATE FROM THE CITY OF CHICAGO. Please get back to me. Thanks!

What an unfortunate name for a restaurant! I can’t believe anyone would name their place after that crappy TV show—oh wait—it’s in Schaumburg!

@ Rebecca, it often takes several hours for a Groupon to be printable, sometimes up to 24 hours. They are never available right away. Check back later and it should be working.

@ Alexine, totally agree. Although not as frustrated as you, there should be 2 lists, just like how in New York they have 3 or 4. Maybe support@groupon.com will be able to pick you up from the city and drive you to the restaurant. Not sure how else they’d help you out.

How does this work? Do i present this groupon like a gift certificate for $55 off the total bill? Thanks

Those who frequent ‘Entourage’ know that the restaurant was there long before the TV show!. Great food, excellent service!

I think it’s great that once in a while Groupon has coupons for events OUTSIDE the city. There are tons of people who live on the outskirts of Chicago, who love to participate and are willing to commute into downtown, but once in a while it’s nice to be able to escape downtown traffic and try something new on the outskirts.

@Alexine: I understand your frustration, but events outside the city are rare on this site. I am sure you can skip out on this one, and let the scores of other people who live in the ‘burbs (or even the city) pick this one up. It’s nice to have something a little different once in a while, and obviously every coupon doesn’t have to be tailored specifically for you.

What I am trying to say is that there SHOULD BE A SUBURBAN GROUPON. The suburbs have a lot to offer and I totally agree with those of you who enjoy going out there/live there that Groupon’s in those areas are beneficial. My point is that not only should there be a City of Chicago Groupon group but also a group for the Suburbs of Chicago. That way folks can subscribe to either or both!

@ Sean & Rebecca – Yes, present this Groupon like you would a gift certificate at the end of your meal. The $55 will be deducted from your total bill.

I think it is very selfish to say all the events should be within the city of Chicago. People in Chicagoland also want to be able to participate in groupon. The split is like 95% city and 5%burbs. It would be fairer to have an 80/20 split!!!! Parking in the city is a nightmare and during the week driving into the city can take hours. Keep up the good work groupon more events in the burbs please!!!

I went to the website to look at the menu…..which is far too difficult to read due to an extremely small font. So I’ll pass. Not whining….just giving feedback.

I agree there should be a suburbs Groupon for Chicago.

But if you are in the city – do you realize how close this is to the Woodfield IKEA store? make a day of it. Just kidding – I think.

To Sean O and Rebecca, when using any coupon, don’t forget the tip is on the meal and beverage total before coupon, not the reduced price. There is a buzz in the service community about grouponer’s not knowing this basic tenent of coupon usage. On the other hand I only tip 20% on the food / beverage total before tax, especially in Schaumburg / Chicago where the added tax is outrageous.

Any idea how the vegetarian options/substitutions are at this restaurant?

just letting folks know that certs are always available @ restaurant.com and twice a month for 80% off so it’s like $3 for a $25 cert there but you have to buy $35 so you get $35 of food for like $13

SO HAPPY to see MORE suburban groupon offers…I bought this one too!

I’m also happy to see more Croupons in the suburbs if it means fewer suburbanites are coming in to the city.

This sucks. I just got back from vacation and found out they closed. I had two groupons.

Me too! So irritated. If they knew they might close, they should never have sold Groupons!

I need my money refunded! They went out of business!

It would be nice if a Groupon employee would discuss the refund procedure here on this thread. It will be interesting to see how the Groupon PR people handle this one.

FYI – I would be OK with either a cash refund OR a credit to my Groupon account.

I sent Groupon an e-mail message, and they credited $25 to my Groupon account for future purchases. They were ready and willing to do that immediately. GREAT and prompt customer service. I was very pleased!
