Entrez Bar & Grill

Aidin Zekirovski only recently arrived from Copenhagen, but he knows what East Villagers like to eat. Before opening Entrez Bar & Grill, he conducted a three-month survey to determine exactly what the neighborhood wanted in a restaurant, as he told The Local East Village. With an eye toward creating the laid-back but sociable spot their answers suggested, Zekirovski partnered with executive chef Jay Ridonic to script an Italian-French menu where seasonal ingredients combine with imported cheese, bacon, liquor, and wine. French bistro favorites such as steak frites share menu space with 19 kinds of pastas and eight sauces—or 20 pastas and nine sauces if the chef’s willing to mix them all together—all served in a sleek space that nods to a slightly clubby sensibility with a bar lit from below by blue lights and a massive chandelier.
