Choose Between Two Options
- $49 for a heated holiday facial and exfoliating body wrap ($105 value)
- $25 for a heated holiday facial (a $50 value)
The heated holiday facial begins with a cranberry cleanser, which removes any residual debris from the skin in preparation for a fruit scrub that is applied with a rotary brush. Next, an oatmeal-gingerbread enzyme mask is applied, and the aesthetician performs a relaxing scalp massage. Once the mask is removed, warm hazelnut oil is used in a face and décolletage massage, which is followed by a chocolate treatment mask. Hands are massaged with an almond lotion, and an anti-aging moisturizer is applied once the final mask is washed off.
During the body wrap, a technician dry brushes the whole body to exfoliate skin before applying a chocolate-peppermint scrub and massage oil. Bodies are then wrapped before they recline beneath warm steam for 20 minutes to increase blood flow as the aesthetician performs the facial. After unwrapping bodies, aestheticians remove the scrub with warm towels, and the session is finished with a hydrating almond lotion.
Spa De Da Skincare
Feather boas skirt Spa De Da's windows, and kiss-mark-shaped wall decals share space with tan sofas. The flirty, pop-art decor showcases coowner and aesthetician Amanda Banghart's ebullient personality but belies her serious beauty chops. A bachelor of biology from Wayne State College augments her aesthetician's understanding of skin chemistry. Amanda complements her formal and experiential education with professional certifications from Image and Bioelements, from which she learned to design effective skincare regimes with their products.
Drawing on this wealth of knowledge, Banghart analyzes each client's complexion to discover the source of and appropriate treatment for blemishes, early signs of aging, or the slow metamorphosis into a young Benjamin Button. Cosmetics for special occasions also inspired her avid scholarship of beauty.
