Fencing is a popular sport because it combines the visceral excitement of swordplay with the stylish outfits of beekeeping. Fight fashionably with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $50 for 5 one-hour fencing lessons (a $150 value)
  • $90 for 10 one-hour fencing lessons (a $300 value)

Lessons may be used for adults or children, and all equipment is provided. During the lessons, students learn beginner skills, including essential footwork and blade work of the foil. Lessons take place on Friday evening starting at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. in groups no larger than 10 students. There will be no sessions on December 28 or January 4.

Epic Fencing

Founded in 1982, Epic Fencing schools both adults and children with beginner, intermediate, and advanced fencing lessons, and offers classes for all three of the sport's weapons. Since its launch thirty years ago, Epic has seen several of its members poke and prod their way onto Canada's national team, and in 2004, one even represented Canada at the Athens Olympics. Today, Hungary-born Peter Drevenka presides as head coach, teaching the globally practiced sport inside Epic's spacious facility.
