Questions and Answers

Hi Pam,
This is Sarah from Groupon.
Thanks for pointing that out! That is why we put in the Fine Print that the Groupon can’t be redeemed until 2/21. Eventide is typically closed on Sunday evening, but is offering dinner for Valentine’s Day this Sunday instead of Brunch.
Best,
Sarah
Is this groupon per person or it goes towards the entire bill regardless of the number of people in the party?
Never mind. Just noticed the fine print. Thx
It says limit to 3. Does this mean I can buy three and use each of them on three different occassions? Or can I use only one and give the remaining two as gifts?

Hi Josephine,
You can use all three for yourself if you’d like, but you can’t use them at the same time. You have until November 15th to use this Groupon, so if you think you’ll go more than once before then feel free to stock up!
Best,
Sarah
Thanks, Sarah! I bought my limit of three! Eventide is great!
Do you have to use the coupon all in one sitting or can you keep the balance for another visit if you dont have $40 worth of brunch?

Hi Jessica,
You do need to use the Groupon value all at once, so bring a friend or two!
Best,
Sarah
Does anyone know if this place is kid friendly? I didn’t see a kids menu.
I have only been there for dinner, which was GREAT, but based on that experience, I would say they probably can accommodate children, but it is not a natural fit. It has a very adult atmosphere in the evening.
Dave from Eventide here…
We are definitely family friendly, especially at brunch! We used to have a kid’s plate on the brunch menu, but found that most parents found our regular menu to be just fine for their children and frankly, most times, parents just share a few things off their own plates with their kids.
At dinner, if you are seated before 6:30, we offer a FREE kid’s plate with every adult entree ordered—it changes daily, but usually consists of fresh pasta, braised chicken, a freshly steamed vegetable and diced fruit. Last night, it was quatered apples, steamed broccoli, linguni with tomato sauce and braised chicken thighs.
Hope this helps!
I’ve never been for brunch, but have been for drinks. The cocktail list offers a nice change from the norm, and the decor of the place is awesome. Very warm and inviting. Looking forward now to brunch!

Hi Sarah,
The Groupon FAQ states:
“Will this include tax and tip?” No – restaurant deals never include tax and tip.
I’m assuming this means that the Groupon cannot be used to pay for either tax or tip on the final bill, e.g. my total comes to $30 before tax and tip and I leave a $40 Groupon to cover everything. Is that correct? The wording is a bit ambiguous on the FAQ.
Ok, I’m just a little confused. For a point of clarity, please help! I want to take 2 guests along with me to brunch. If I buy a total of 3, can I use one and give the other two as gifts AND use them during the same visit to Eventide?

Mark – To maximize your Groupon experience you’ll want to order at least $40 worth of food and drink when you visit Eventide for brunch. If you go with 1 or 2 people you should have no problem doing that. If you only spend $30 you may NOT apply the remaining $10 toward the tax and tip and you will still be expected to leave about $9 cash (pending good service) to cover the tax and tip with the Groupon and you will forefit that $10 worth of credit.
El B. – Short answer – No. You may only use one Groupon per table, so if you take two friends with you you can only use one Groupon for the party. You are welcome to buy as many as three Groupons for yourself or to give as gifts but they cannot be combined and used to cover the same meal.
Hope this help!
Best,
Sarah
Is there anyone I can contact right now about a time-sensitive groupon that starts in about two hours? I can’t find my confirmations and I’m so frustrated/sad/upset, and it’s not business hours so there’s nobody to call!

Did you check your account for the Groupons? Look in the upper right corner of the page and mouse over My Stuff and click My Groupons. Any Groupons you have purchased will be in there and ready for printing. If you are still having trouble you can email support@groupon.com and there is a weekend staff. You can also call the wine fest – they have a list of all their groupon buyers and may also be able to help.
I’m a bit confused on how this works. Some friends and I wanted to go, and I’m the only one that bought the ticket. Can this coupon be applied to the entire check? If so, what if the cost is more than $40 dollars, it is still $20 off?
Hey Jason, I use groupon all the time and it basically works just like a gift card to a restaurant. Whatever the bill total is, $40 comes off of it.
Think of it as buying a $40 gift card for $20, with the restriction that only one gift card can be used per bill. It does not matter who bought the actual gift card.
For those worried about spending the whole amount, remember, brunch has mimosas :)
This was an AWESOME deal. The two of us had brunch – a bloody mary, an aperol spritzer, the corned pork belly w/potato hash, the fried chicken w/biscuit and maple/sage gravy, and a HUGE side of parmesan grits. After the Groupon was applied, our bill was $1.42. So, we had this fabulous meal for $21.42 plus the generous tip we left. Not bad at all! Thank you!
expires this weekend and I can’t get a reservation…what happens now?
Me too. Also not able to get a Sunday reservation. I’d gladly go another time or use it for another meal. Reviews on Yelp reflect the same frustration of Eventide being overwhelmed with this Groupon. Is there a solution?

I also couldn’t get in, but when we called the last week before it expired, they said they would honor the Groupons for two extra weeks at the price paid ($20). Also, you can go and wait in line to have brunch in “the bistro/bar” but she recommended coming early, as with the Groupon rush, people were lining up beginning at 9:15 am.

I noticed on the Eventide website that Brunch IS NOT being served on Feb. 14th. Be warned if you are buying this groupon for Valentine’s Day.
