Bikes are eco-friendly and fun, unlike coal trains, which are powered entirely by Christmastime disappointment. Hop on with this Groupon.
Choose from Three Options
- $35 for a standard bike tune-up (a $70 value) or $70 worth of services or classes
- $59 for a deluxe bike tune-up (a $120 value)
- $99 for a The Works bike tune-up (a $200 value)
For the standard tune-up, a mechanic follow a 30-step checklist that includes adjusting the brakes and lubricating cables, adjusting the front and rear derailleurs, trueing the wheels, inflating the tires, and other useful services. For the deluxe tune-up, the mechanic also removes, cleans, and reinstalls the gears and drivetrain, and for The Works package, the mechanic disassembles the bike entirely before reassembling it with new brake pads, cables and grips.
Other services include standard flat-tire repairs ($14), rear-wheel installations ($20; parts not included), and complete headset-bearing overhauls ($30).
The friendly mechanics at Everybody Bikes nurture two-wheeled transports of all styles, helping urban commuters traverse city streets unencumbered by a car’s demands. Mechanics perform services such as tune-ups, repairs, and custom bicycle builds amid racks stocked with bikes by Kona, Fuji, and Linus. To educate their customers, they also lead private and group lessons on mechanics, safety, and riding techniques. The mechanics also maintain the shop’s blog, which keeps customers in the know about everything from what helmets to buy to when tricycle mating season starts.
