Questions and Answers

Hello, I was wondering if the Standard Tune-Up would work for my 6-month old ZIGO Leader X1 (a carrier bike), which I believe needs some adjustments? Thanks!

You're bike is relatively new, but, it is a lot more complex than your average bicycle. The deluxe tune up would probably be a better choice.

Hi, I believe I need "The Works" on my Specialized FSR. One thing for certain is I need new brake pads, and I was wondering if the price includes the brake pads or is that extra?

Brake pads are most definitely included in the price of a works tune up.

I have a 1980-ish Cannondale mountain bike, lightly used back then and stored unused hanging from the ceiling of my storage area for the past 25+ years. I would say it's in excellent condition, though the rubber tires and inner tubes may be cracked from age. Is the bike worth anything? I'd like to sell it, but I assume it will need a complete check-up ("The Works"?). I'd like advice about whether it's worth it to put the money in such an old bike. I can bring it in to be looked at, if that's useful. Thanks. - Geoff Smith, Masonic Avenue, San Francisco

Hey Geoff, If the bike still fits you, old school mountain bikes are some of the best bikes to do restorations on. The parts are really durable, and for the most part, really good looking. If you can bring the bike by sometime this weekend. We'll let you know if the bike is going to work for you and what all it needs. If everything is good, go ahead and get the deal and we'll bring her back to life. Michael
