During basic tunes, techs restore skis or snowboards with a belt grind, which smoothes and flattens the base to reduce friction on the slopes, and an edge grind, which sharpens and bevels the edges to help them carve through snow more efficiently. To complete the process, they apply temperature-specific wax by hand, covering every inch of the surface and brushing it with nylon and cruelty-free horsehair to ensure a smooth, thorough finish.

At evo’s flagship Fremont/Wallingford store, the staff relays the company-wide values of style, a balanced lifestyle, and authenticity by hosting events such as movie screenings and art showcases and devoting extra time to serving nonprofits throughout the community.
