Evolve Fitness

After developing their chops over 25 years in the fitness industry, Evolve Fitness' co-founders, Lucio Paolini and Mark Rozman, teamed up to improve upon the typical gym experience with a more well-rounded gym. Lucio taps his personal-training expertise to lead the staff of trainers, and Mark runs the physical therapy program, which he's equipped with ultrasounds, cold lasers, and hand stations to help keep members on the gym floor.

Both of their modern and spacious locations host Precor, Life Fitness, and Hammer Strength cardio and resistance machines. Their group fitness classes include FAST small-group training, Pilates, yoga, and Les Mills classes, such as BodyPump, and their Zumba sessions earned them CBS Local's vote as one of Boston's best Zumba studios. The Cambridge location also has a spin studio for high-energy cycling sessions that empower students still recovering from the sting of losing all their childhood tricycle races.

The eco-friendly buildings feature recycled rubber and bamboo flooring, as well as water-conserving bathroom appliances and air hand dryers instead of paper towels. Both locations' childcare services are helmed by a staff of CPR-certified, first-aid-certified, background-checked, and fairy-godmother-approved folks.

Though Evolve Fitness sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.
