Questions and Answers

Can you tell me what knowledge level, prior programming experience a person needs to successfully get through the coarse? I have no programming background but a desire to learn. Also what type of computer/s software would i need?

The course has been designed to be fun and easy to learn and assumes no technical knowledge whatsoever. As the course progresses, we introduce more technical detail – but don't worry, we won't freak you out. We understand that building your first app can be an exciting challenge, so the course follows a practical path. If the idea of programming doesn't excite you, that's no problem: We'll explain how to work together with a programmer. By the end of the course you should be perfectly positioned to build and go to market with your first app. In order to complete the course you will need a Mac or a PC running an up-to-date web browser. If you wish to program apps for iPad, iPhone (iOS) yourself you will need a Mac. To program for Android phones and tablets you can either run the software on a PC or a Mac. You will need to download the free development software from Apple or Google (explained in the course). They both have device simulators built in so you don't actually need a physical device like an iPad, iPhone or Android phone/tablet to preview your app.
