It appears that there are HIDDEN CHARGES over and beyond the “$59.00” value. Facelogic’s website price list offers the Signature Facial i.e. “Facelogic Signature Facial – $59 member / $79 guest”. THUS, IF YOU ARE A MEMBER, AND MOST OF US AREN’T, YOU GET THE $59.00 facial. BUT IF NOT A MEMBER, ADD $20.00 TO YOUR BILL. Very deceptive in my book and I’ll pass on this Groupon. It took some navigating to find the price list, but it’s there via a link to the individual stores. So we pay $45.00 rather than $25.00…still a small savings, but far from the advertised price. Good luck….

Frances C.

Referring to Anthony K. comment; so if I purchase the groupon for $25.00 today, June 4, 2010, that they will add on additional cost if I am NOT A MEMEBER? Please advise!
Thank you.

Is this good at the River Oaks location as well?

Allison M.

@Anthony K – I honestly don’t see anywhere on the page where it says you must be a member of the spa. It specifically states that it’s $59.00 and for first time guests only.
Can you post where it says that it’s $79.00?

Allison M.

@Candiss – It states in the details in the middle of the page the following: …“This Groupon is good at three of the spa’s locations — Sugar Land, Pearland, and at the Meyerland Plaza Mall, all open Tuesday through Sunday. You may put the value of your Groupon toward upgraded services and pay the difference during your visit.”

Hope that helps.

Terri L.

Here is the link for member/guest prices: http://facelogicspa.com/sugarland-service-list
The fine print for this deal didn’t clarify the guest cost and difference of$20 as Anthony stated…but I wonder too.

I think I’ll try the FREE mini facial and not be caught in a sting.

Carla

I bought the Facelogic Groupon for the River Oaks location a few months ago. Will I be considered a “new customer” at any of the locations for this Groupon?

Anna L.

AnthonyK, etc,
They have a $59 special for first time guests only:
http://www.facelogicnow.com/files/59IntroCoupon_OPT_.pdf

Also only for the three locations listed on the Groupon.

Roseanna L.

Has anyone from facelogics responded to the additional $20.00 for non-members? If this is true it is VERY deceptive and I am surprised that Groupon would allow it.

I understand the concept here for those of us that use groupon, we are all penny pinchers of some sort or another. But to of the $59 "member or $79 “non-member” is in my opinion splitting hairs. YOU STILL SAVE! So what is the high drama? Jimmeny Cricket folks there are such things as (overhead, material, labor) that should always be considered when shopping for a bargain.

Roseanna L.

I just think that companies should be up front about all costs. Since this coupon is for a 25.00 facial if we have to pay 45.00 that is almost twice the cost, quite a bit of difference in my opinion. Especially if giving it as a gift, the recipient probably won’t be expecting to have to PAY to use it

Hello everyone, my name is Drew and I am the Facelogic business owner for this deal. Please be assured that there are no hidden charges for this deal. We are offering our intro/member rates to Groupon members for their first time in. For example, the $25 Groupon is worth $59 so you can use it for our intro/member priced Signature Facial that normally costs $59. Or for example, you could apply the $59 value to an Elite Facial ($89) and pay the upgrade fee from Signature to Elite of $30.

We are also allowing folks who have visited other Facelogic locations to come try us too! That is already the case in our franchise network even without the Groupon. Everything mentioned above also applies if you choose to buy the Groupon and give it as a gift. We also are offering the chance to buy up to three deals so you can have the opportunity to try us over the course of several visits—-to see the real benefits of our Facelogic Skincare Program.

Groupon and Facelogic have sold multiple thousands of deals around the country this year resulting in a huge base of satisfied customers.

Send us an email at info@facelogicnow.com if you have further questions and if necessary we will arrange to talk to you by phone.

Stephanie E.

I was happy to see this deal this morning. The fact that you can actually buy more than one groupon for a spa deal is rare. This business owner wants repeat customers so I do not think there was ever any deception intended.

Thanks for offering this deal, Drew. I thought the explanation was pretty straight forward. I don’t know how all this misinterpretations started, but thanks for the clarification and reassurance. I look forward to visiting Facelogic!

Nancy N.

Up until the time I read the above comments, I was pretty excited about this offer and was on my way to taking advantage of it – that is until I saw that I was the one being taken advantage of. .it’s not about “costs for overhead”, etc., it’s about honesty. Doesn’t matter what kind of a “deal” you are getting, can’t replace honesty and it is apparent that honesty was not part of this “deal.” Let’s be up front, Drew. This will be a “no go” for me.

Anthony K.

Drew, thank you for the follow-up. Even so, I would recommend amending the Groupon offer and adding specific and non-confusing language stating that the Groupon is good for the “member” price of $59.00 (remember the non-member price is $79.00) instead of having to rely on these comments here. It would be a hassle to have to print your comments and present them with the Groupon. Additionally, many people simply buy the Groupon without reading the comments. Periodically there is conflict when a Groupon is presented. Certainly that would not occur while you are there, but you are probably not there every minute of the day. It would just save confusion. I contend that at a minimum an amendment to the original Groupon is in order. Good luck with the promotion.

Nancy B.

I am new to Groupon and want to ensure I understand the terms. For clarity: ‘Limit 3 per person’ – this means I can buy three and use them for myself, correct? Thank you

Jeanne E.

Legasea; Be careful with all Groupons. Most of them are great and well worth the price we pay but on one purchased sometime ago it appears we are being scammed out of nearly $400 by an interior decorator. The multi services we hoped to have performed are not being delivered.

Here is the deal. This membership based spa similar to a Massage Heights or Massage Envy. I visited the location in Pearland about 1 year ago. I am a person who used to work in a spa and loves to get facials. Thus I was very excited about the possibility of a membership based service for facials, especially since I had recently joined Massage Heights and loved it. However, I was not impressed with the quality of the facial. This is a good offer if you do not regularly receive facials and are not used to the technical steps of a facial valued at around $80-$90 in an upscale spa. The two main things that stood out to me is
(1). I was not laying on a facial / massage table like I usually do at other salons. I was in some type of chair that extended back. It looked like it was probably a professional alternative to the table but it was not comfortable to at all.

(2). No extractions were done. On their website it states that you must request extractions. I was not told this at the time and was accustomed to this either automatically being done or the technician asking if I wanted this service. I assumed that she would be doing extractions.

Overall, I felt that a lot of shortcuts were taken and did not feel as relaxed as I usually do when I visit a regular spa. At the end I felt that I paid $30-$50 (I do not remember the introductory price at that time) for something that I could have done myself at home. Of course, that was only 1 visit 1 year ago and it could have just been the technician at the time. But just thought that I would inform you!

Karen N.

High drama is right….If you don’t like the deal don’t buy it. Why get on here and bash it, almost like your are LOOKING for things to complain about, clearly you don’t have better things to do. Again, don’t like it, don’t buy it. I bought this same $25 Groupon from Facelogic last time around, used it last week it was one of the BEST facials I have had.
Drew, thank you for such a clear and detailed explanation…..can’t wait to use my new recently purchase Facelogic Groupon.

Nancy, Stephanie, Anthony, all, thank you for your feedback and comments. We have owned and operated three Houston area Facelogic Spas for about two years now and we have our hearts and souls (and life savings!) into it.

We will try to ammend the Groupon offer (mentioning Groupon is good toward the member prices) but not sure the Groupon corp folks can make any changes to the offer/copy once it’s underway.

Just to clarify, yes we are very interested in repeat customers and that is why we are allowing up to three groupons per person. All three (not just the first one) will apply to the member prices. We are very confident you will love our services and will find the quality/products to be the best on the market at extremely affordable prices. We will be here to serve you personally.

You can see all of our services and benefits and print a PDF menu at www.facelogicnow.com/menu

Thank you all again,
DREW

hi drew,,ok ,so ,im not a member if i buy a groupon,,how much would i end up paying??

Drew F.

Frances, if you buy the Groupon, you pay Groupon the $25 purchase price and then you can redeem the Groupon certificate at any of the three participating locations for a Signature Facial and pay nothing more (though you might want to tip your skincare therapist/esthetician if you are happy with the service!).

thks drew,this was helpful….

Anna H.

Thanks Drew for the clarification because I don’t like surprises either. I notice on the Pearland site it has a coupon for first time visitors to get the $59 price. Do we need to take this coupon, or will the staff automatically charge Groupon customers this price? Thanks.

Stacy B.

Drew – is there an age limit for those that can use your services (via the Groupon)? I would like to buy and gift to my tween daughter…. (she is 11) Please let me know! Thanks!

Leza N.

If I buy three but then decide to give one to a friend who would be a first time user would there be an issue?

Ashley M.

Hello Houston,

Sorry for the confusion about the additional charges – this is NOT the case for the Groupon. You do NOT have to pay an additional fee as a non member above the Groupon price.

Please enjoy!!

Stacy B.,

Anyone younger than 18 needs parental consent so you just need to be there with your daughter. We’ve seen many tweens at our spas who loved their facials. We look forward to serving you.

Hello again everyone. We noticed two outstanding questions and will answer them here. First the $59 intro coupon that is posted on our website will not be required for Groupon members. You only need to bring your Groupon receipt/code that you receive during your purchase. Second there will be no “first time in” issues if you buy one for yourself and also as a gift. Anyone with the proper Groupon receipt/code will be honored.

P.S. Just a note about our chairs. They are zero gravity chairs (http://www.humantouch.com/perfect-chairs.html) and compared to a flat table many customers find the experience amazingly comfortable and relaxing. For those customers who prefer a flat table, we have several available at each location.

Peggy T.

I am wondering WHERE my coupon is. I purchased over 1 hour ago and still have not recieved the coupon in mail.

R P.

Just confirming that we can use all 3 groupons at the same location if wanted?

Aisha R.

Would this groupon be valid for Microdermabrasion facials also?

Pull up the location, then services. You will see the member and non member services. Remember this is a very basic fascial. I get mine in Katy takes 90 Mins for steam, mask, everything including a great upper body massage. With no add on prices. So i’m passing on this also

Drew F.
Merchant

Hello again everyone (from Drew, the owner). I will answer a few outstanding questions…

Yes microdermabrasion facials would be valid. Microdermabrasion facials are Elite facials at Facelogic and would have the $89 pricepoint for Groupon members. You can use today’s deal to apply $59 toward the $89 Elite price ($30 upgrade price).

Yes, you can use all three Groupons at either a single or multiple locations.

<hr />

Here is what one customer said about our microdermabrasion facials (see more at Yahoo Local (http://local.yahoo.com/info-48510933-facelogic-pearland-pearland;ylt=AjlFSWEtrOeSwMjcpYx94oSHNcIF;ylv=3?csz=Missouri+City%2C+TX)):

Excellent service, enjoyable facials – They put me to sleep! Great value, I got the same microdermabrasion treament I had paid $200 for just $89.

I’m very picky about products and ask a lot of questions – the esthetician was very knowledgable and answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly.

I’ll be back next month!

Drew, thank you so much for answering all these questions. After reading some of the negative comments, I had decided not to buy this groupon. But your patience and continued follow-up has changed my mind. I purchased, and I am excited about, this facial. And I will upgrade to microdermabrasion. Thanks!!!

Yolanda V.

Thanks Drew for the clarification!

Personally, I think those who have already gone to get the facial and have had to pay $20 should comment; not those who are reading too much into things and are guessing! Geez!

I do not likes surprise charges either, but I would have totally missed a good deal because of some of the WRONG and NEGATIVE comments posted here. What happened to do not speak until you know for sure? If you are accustomed to getting expensive facials DO NOT BUY THIS, go somewhere else OR PAY THE UPGRADE CHARGE! Go pay your $100 and leave negative comments elsewhere. For those of us who are looking for a deal do not spoil it because you are guessing. Just call the freaking store if you are not for sure. Is it that hard?

It amazes me how some people make something so simple, so hard!

I bought the last groupon to facelogic and can confirm there were NO hidden charges…I made an appointment using my groupon code, and the entire Signature Facial was covered. My aesthetician was incredibly knowledgeable about the types of products she was using specifically for my skin, in addition to being personable and fun to talk to. :) Also, she DID perform extractions without my requesting them. I seriously recommend this place for an affordable and quality facial.

Howdy everyone (from Drew, the owner again). Just a quick reminder that Facelogic is a fantastic way to give Dad an amazing Father’s Day gift…something a bit different this year that he will surely enjoy. It’s a great idea for recent Grads too.

Don’t forget that every Groupon buyer also has a chance to enter our exclusive “1 in 50” contest for a chance to win a $50 bonus. See our website for the entry form at www.facelogicnow.com

Every entry wins a gift and 1 out of 50 wins $50. It’s our way of saying thank you Groupon members——but it’s over on Sunday 6/7/10.

Good luck and thank you.

I purchased a facial for myself, but after reading Drew’s suggestion about purchasing one for “Dad’s” day, I’ve decided to also buy one for my husband. And purchase a second for myself. I am confused about one thing though – the restrictions stated that I could purchase up to 3 – but could only use 1 for myself. The others would have to be given away as gifts… is that true?

Drew F.
Merchant

renaye,

We have made the offer available for up to 3 Groupons per customer with additionals available as gifts. Specifically, this means you can use up to 3 for yourself and as many as you want to gift to other individual people.

We can’t wait to see you and “Dad”.

-DREW

renaye

Thanks for the quick response Drew. I am purchasing additionals now. See you soon!

Kristine T.

Hi Drew:

I am very interested in this deal but would like to purchase one as a gift for a friend and email it to them and then another for myself. Should I purchase as one transaction or two separate transactions? Will I still get the same deal if purchased in two separate transactions? What’s the best way to do this to ensure that my friend only gets one gift card and not both?

Drew F.
Merchant

Hi Kristine,

We really appreciate your interest and questions. The best way to handle your situation would be to buy one for yourself with the big green “buy” button and then in another transaction use the “buy it for a friend” button right below. You can then choose to send it to your friend by email as the delivery method.

Thanks again for your business, I am confident you will love the Facelogic experience.

-DREW

Thanks for your quick response Drew!

Stacy B.

Hi Drew – so, I am a bit confused on the ability to buy as gifts… I bought three groupons on Friday. Now I am thinking that I would prefer to buy those three for myself (I am treating myself ya know!) and wanted to buy 1 for my daughter and 1 for my stepmom. Is this not allowed? I tried the “buy as a gift” option but it told me I had already reached the limit. So is 3 the limit for personal AND gift purchases? Please clarify!

Drew F.
Merchant

Hi Stacy — I sent a request to Groupon to see if I can get clarification on the 3 per person limit. Hopefully, we’ll get an update but if not, I would suggest having someone else purchase the additional deals for you.

If we don’t get an update or if you don’t have someone else that can buy the additional gifts for you, please contact me directly at info@facelogicnow.com and we will find a way to make this work.

Thanks again!

We look forward to seeing all of you in one of our spas soon and we also welcome your feedback and ideas to help us make Facelogic your continuous skincare spa of choice.

Thank you all again,

Used my groupon today @ Sugarland location. Did not have to pay any additional fees (except for tip). Great location and great facial. They use Peter Thomas Roth products which are top of the line. Overall, I am very happy with my facial.

lael m.

My daughter and I had facials done at the Sugarland location and LOVED it! Thank you so much to Facelogic and Groupon for providing this fine opportunity!

Pam B.

I just had my Signature Facial at the Meyerland location. Terrific facial; great esthetician. I am used to flat tables, but the gravity-free chairs are really nice. She did extractions without asking, massaged my neck & shoulders, and suggested another facial that I will book for my next visit. Glad I found this via Groupon!

Stephanie E.

I had my facial at the Meyerland location last week. I agree that it was great. My esthetician was Lena. She did a quick consultation before starting the procedure. She asked what type of products I used and suggested some things I could do at home to continue having healthy skin. She suggested another facial that she felt would be beneficial for the concerns I mentioned to her in regards to my skin. I will try that one on my next visit.

Thanks for this Groupon!!

Anna L.

Ditto all the great comments!

Had no problem scheduling the facial at Meyerland, they called back to confirm/remind me about my appointment the day before & greeted me by name when I walked in today.

I also went to Lena who was wonderful.

The full hour was used, which was fantastic. Loved the anti-gravity chair which was very comfortable. The arm/hand/neck/shoulder massage was one of the best I’ve had.

There was not pressure to upgrade, buy additional products or purchase a membership. All things were mentioned, but not pressed when I declined. (And they did not seem upset when I declined.)

GREAT service & even better value – Thank you Facelogic & Groupon!
