Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facility is spotless. Molly the Museum's Dalmatian is beautiful and a hit with the family. :) Staff members took the initiative to invite our 7 year old to try an interactive activity with an explanation as to how it worked. A complete treasure of firetrucks, apparatus, and artifacts! So very glad they are preserved for future generations to see and enjoy!! Great day!

About FASNY Museum of Firefighting

FASNY Museum of Firefighting traces the history of firefighting from ancient Rome to today. Pieces of equipment in the museum's collection range from steam-powered fire pumpers to helmets and self-contained breathing apparatuses. The pieces are scattered through seven exhibitions, which include a replicated 19th-century firehouse interior, as well as select fire engines for children to climb aboard.

This is a hidden, firefighting historical treasure! A fabulous museum for the entire family! Lots of interactive education activities for children.

We had a lot of fun with our 4 year old! He had a blast completing all the crafts, doing the junior firefighter challenge, and driving the “virtual” fire truck. It was a great rainy day activity.

Very nice display of antique apparatus and equipment. Dating back to when firefighting started. Very nice and extremely helpful staff excellent museum. Good amount of hands on for kids to learn about fire fighting.
