A brewery, like the beach, is a relaxing oasis that allows tired travelers to bask in golden hues, frolic in frothy spumes, and get in splash fights with siblings. Savor sudsy fun with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get a beer-sampler package at Faultline Brewing Company in Sunnyvale (up to a $21.95 total value). The package includes:

  • 10 3oz microbrew samples of FBC’s five standard beers (a $10 value)
  • An appetizer (up to an $11.95 value)<p>

Helmed by brew master Peter Catizone, Faultline Brewing Company concocts more than 20 different microbrews that have earned numerous awards and accolades. In a spacious, industrial-style dining room overlooking a backyard lake, patrons taste flights of beer that span the effervescent spectrum, from light lagers and dark porters to ultraviolet brews only visible with beer goggles. The dark dunkelweizen sports a fuller flavor than its hefeweizen cousin, and the Irish-inspired stout blends four varieties of roasted malts to instill a dusky hue and a dark-chocolate flavor profile. Inspired by the Belgian Trappist monks’ dubble-style ales, the red, spicy Belgian Abbey stays true to its origins by shaving the foam off its head. Complement libations with any of Faultline’s appetizers, such as nori-wrapped tempura ahi rolls or smoked chicken drumettes tossed in a thai red-pepper sauce or a pineapple-hoisin glaze.

Our customers loved this deal last year, earning Faultline Brewing Company a spot on Groupon’s Best of 2011 list.

Faultline Brewing Company

Master beersmith Peter Catizone discovered his passion for brewing while making homebrewed batches of beer in the 1980s. Eventually, he developed his hobby into a craft and his do-it-yourself recipes into a microbrew powerhouse with a mantel full of awards. Today at Faultline Brewing Company’s lively taphouse, the staff pours samples from a smorgasbord of more than 20 beers, ranging from the clear, clean taste of a Rhineland-style kölsch to the malty richness of an inky-black irish stout. Offerings from the lunch and dinner bills of fare complement the local brews with Louisiana-style seafood gumbo,Thai inspired Salmon Shoo-Shee, and generously portioned Angus beef burgers. On Friday and Saturday nights, live musicians serenade guests as they enjoy beer flights and frosty pints on the open-air patio or in the lounge.
