Fight Fire with Beer Festival
On Saturday, August 23, the third annual Firefighter Appreciation Week culminates in a festival celebrating something you should never do in real life: fight fire with beer. Rather than extinguishing literal flames, this festival brings in more than 20 breweries from across Colorado to raise funds and awareness for the state's firefighters. In recognition of these local heros, guests can spend up to four hours tasting unlimited samples of craft beer from breweries such as Upslope, Trinity, and Odell Brewing Companies while live music serenades them into the evening. To conclude the festivities, Governor John Hickenlooper will present the awards for the Fight Fire With Beer Governor’s Cup winners, who earn the honor to sell beer year-round that benefits firefighters.
