$29 for 30 Days of Boot-Camp Classes ($250 Value)

A former US Marines Corps drill instructor sergeant, Tony A. designs his 60-minute boot-camp workouts to both mirror military training and suit different experience levels, blending strength, cardio, and weight-loss manoeuvres. During camps, participants box and practice martial arts. Chins and chests tap portable pull-up bars as focused swings with weighted balls sculpt limbs. Tony outfits groups with all the necessary equipment, though patrons must bring their own water bottle, running shoes, and jar of angry wasps to help spur sprints. Check the class schedule for times and details.

Fit Factory Fitness

At the two Toronto locations of Fit Factory Fitness, voted Top Fitness Club of 2013 in Toronto by Top Choice Awards, former US Marine Corps drill instructor and Fit Factory co-founder Tony Austin mimics the intense training regimen he completed during his military days. Along with his fellow instructors, Tony uses his 22 years of fitness experience while donning a military-style olive cap to lead exercisers of all fitness levels through more than 200 diverse classes, including personal training, boot camp, and boxing, offering no-nosense military-styled fitness training to everyday people of all fitness levels. One week, exercisers might jog with buckets full of water on the shores of a lake or swing sledgehammers into the sand, and the next, they might head indoors to drag heavy bags across the astroturf. With Tony's military background, the exercisers receive training and regiments like those practiced by the U.S. Armed Forces. Instructors also teach boxing boot-camp classes, in which patrons pummel heavy punching bags until they agree to personally train them. Fit Factory Fitness also offers military obstacle courses for both kids and adults, and is active in the community, having raised more than $200,000 for organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada since September 2012.
