$29 for a One-Hour PediCare Service ($60 Value)

The one-hour PediCare service isn't a simple cosmetic treatment. For starters, it's performed by a medical nail technician who has undergone more training than a typical nail tech. After taking special precautions to prevent the spread of bacterial infections, this expert begins the service, adapting it to each client's needs by removing calluses and corns and trimming and providing care for fungal toenails as necessary. She also performs hydrotherapy and a foot-and-ankle massage, taking special care with clients who suffer from diabetes, neuropathy, and other conditions. The technician can apply nail polish for an additional $5 fee if the client provides the polish.

Foot & Ankle Wellness Center

Three podiatrists team up at Foot & Ankle Wellness Center, where they treat bunions, perform diabetic care, and clear up cloudy nails with a host of services. With the help of a staff of podiatric assistants and therapeutic shoe fitters, the doctors treat common foot ailments including stress fractures, ingrown nails, hammertoe, and MC Hammer toe.

Instead of rushing to the medicine cabinet, the good doctors sift through the available options, such as dietary changes for gout or a regimen of icing, supportive taping, and bracing for flat feet. Nail fungus, which traditionally has been treated with pills that can cause severe harm to the liver, gets a high-tech going-over with specialized lasers that depose unsightly talons to reinstate their clearer cousins.

The Groupon Guide to: Scaring Yourself

Whether you're attempting to cure hiccups or simply bringing your heart rate up to trick people into thinking you're capable of love, there are many methods to giving yourself a good scare:

  • Stare into the cold, black, unfeeling eyes of a dolphin.
  • Blindfold yourself while someone plays an MP3 that sounds like fireworks going off dangerously close to you.
  • Look at some pictures of air pollution from a 1970s textbook (air pollution is still around, but it was scarier back then).
  • Try to maintain eye contact while shaking the hand of your more successful father.
  • The next time you travel by air, imagine the worst—the airplane could be full of Chuckies.

What are the most popular ways to scare yourself? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
